| The seaman’s hot pot |
Ingredients :
- 400 g (14.10 oz) minced meat
- 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1½ tablespoon salt
- 1 pinch of black pepper
- Soy
- 4 onions
- 3-4 carrots (approx. 10.60 oz)
- 6-8 potatoes (approx. 1.65 lbs)
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 beef stock
- 4 dl (13.52 fl.oz US) water
- 2 dl (6.76 fl.oz US) beer
- Parsley
Recipe:
Cook the meat in a pan and crumble it. Add some salt, pepper and soy. Peel and mince the onions, carrots and potatoes. Mix altogether with salt, pepper and oregano in a pot. Begin and end with carrots and potatoes.
Dissolute the beef stock in boiling water and pour it in the pot together with beer. Cook under lid on low heat until the potatoes are mellow (approx. 20-25 min).
Cut parsley and serve the dish with gherkin or beetroot.
