A unique region in the world

Welcome to Château de Rolland and its great exquisite
Bordeaux wines. Due to its geographic location near the village of Sauternes in the Gironde county, Château de Rolland is proud to show you its great sweet wine of Sauternes.

The richness of the soil due to its proximity to the Garonne River, rich in alluvia, allows to make dry white wine of high quality, such as the Bordeaux Blanc Sec and the Graves Blanc Sec, which reputation is international.

Our wines will be the perfect complement to your dishes!

A pleasure to taste...
Professional and amateur wine tasters will discover all the flavors that make Château de Rolland a great and well-known wine in
France and among wine importers abroad.

A rich history...
The Château’s architectural origins are from the buildings of Cartusian Covent, which was bought by the de Rolland family in 1492,who owned it until 1797. Moreover, Château de Rolland is certainly one of the oldest
"terroirs" in the Barsac region, which obtained its own appellation, BARSAC. Faithful to its past, Château de Rolland stills keeps its proud appellation.

A close proximity to infrastructures...
Because of the
Gironde county’s well-developed infrastructures, you can go easily  to Château de Rolland, either by plane to the international airport of Bordeaux Mérignac; by car via the Highway A62 or by train. Bushwalkers will discover the magical world of Château de Rolland through the walking tracks. You will find accommodation in the village.

A strong leitmotif…
Curiosity, knowledge, discovery and attentiveness are the key words of Château de Rolland. Mr Jean Guignard transmitted his knowledge to his three children, i.e. François, Lucie and Monique, who are always available to answer your questions and make a narrow contact with you.
