Grapes are ripe in early September and we are going to pick them up this Thursday, September 18 th. These are gripes to make white wine.

Here are "Sémillon" grapes

The harvest of the grapes for Barsac-Sauternes started on September, 29th and ended on October, 31st2008.
The nice weather of the season, i.e. the morning fog and the Sun in the middle of the day allows the Botrytis to cling on the grapes.
It is a helpful fungus that transforms the grapes and gives them a taste that is found nowhere else.

The harvest is done several strips throughout the vineyard by hand.

When the harvest is in the winery, the winery master François Guignard  will distillate and raise the grape juices to a sweet wine with a nice golden color.
You will be able to taste this vintage 2008 in 2010.
